Connections

Connect and manage external data sources for your projects

The Connections feature allows you to connect to and integrate data from various external sources, enhancing your projects with dynamic and versatile data inputs. This feature is accessible through the Add Data modal under the Connections tab.

Supported Connections

GIS Services

  • Web Map Services - Connect to OGC-compliant web map services (WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS)
  • Feature Server - Connect to ArcGIS Feature Services to import vector data

Spreadsheets and task management

  • Google Sheets - Import and sync data from Google Sheets spreadsheets
  • Smartsheet - Import and sync sheet data from Smartsheet
  • Airtable - Import and sync data from Airtable bases
  • ClickUp - Import lists from ClickUp as datasets, including Location custom fields

Maps

  • Google My Maps - Import layers from a publicly-shared Google My Maps map

Databases

  • PostgreSQL - Connect to PostgreSQL databases with PostGIS support
  • MySQL - Connect to MySQL databases to query and analyze data
  • SQL Server - Connect to Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Oracle - Connect to Oracle Database for enterprise data access

Data Warehouses

  • BigQuery - Connect to Google BigQuery cloud data warehouse
  • Snowflake - Connect to Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Databricks - Connect to Databricks lakehouse platform

Regional integrations

These integrations live in the project's right-hand Integrations panel rather than the Add Data modal, but they bring external data into your project the same way:

Managing Connections

Once connected, all external data sources are listed in your project under Connections. You can:

  • Refresh data: Ensure you’re working with the latest updates from your source.
  • Reconfigure connections: Modify authentication details or query parameters.
  • Remove connections: Disconnect a source when it is no longer needed.
