Street View opens a draggable street-level photo viewer powered by Mapillary. Drop a marker anywhere on the map and Atlas finds the nearest available street-level image. Walk along the available roads using the in-viewer navigation.
Open the tool
Open the right-hand panel, switch to the Tools tab, and select Street View. A floating viewer panel appears, and the map shows green lines where street-level imagery is available.
Using the tool
- Move the marker — click anywhere on the map, or drag the orange marker to a new location. The viewer reloads to show the closest image to the marker.
- Walk through imagery — use Mapillary's built-in arrows in the viewer to step forward and backward along the captured sequence.
- Open Street View — re-opens the viewer after you've closed it.
- Show available roads — toggles the green coverage lines on and off so you can see exactly where imagery exists before placing the marker.
The viewer can be expanded to fill the screen with the expand button, or closed with the X button.
Limits and notes
- Imagery comes from the Mapillary public dataset; coverage is uneven and depends on what contributors have captured. Areas without coverage show "Could not load street view image".
- The viewer needs network access to Mapillary; offline use is not supported.
- The marker bearing in the viewer reflects the camera's point-of-view rotation.
