Find and navigate to specific locations on your map using the location search control.
- Find the Search control in the bottom-left corner of the map
- Click to open the search input
- Type your location query and press Enter
Search Types
- Addresses - Street addresses and postal codes
- Places - Cities, landmarks, and points of interest
- Coordinates - Latitude/longitude coordinates
Quick Tips
- Use specific addresses for best results
- The map will automatically zoom to search results
- Multiple results may appear - click your preferred location
Saving a Searched Location as a Data Point
Searching navigates the map to a location — it does not automatically create a marker or dataset. To save the location as a point you can work with:
- Search for the location and let the map zoom in.
- Select the Point drawing tool (
P) from the bottom toolbar. - Click the map to place a marker at the exact spot.
